Thanks for all of the love from past and present customers on our 50th anniversary party in September. We look forward to many more years!
Surely most of you remember the old bathrooms crammed in the back. Well after 48 years, we have built brand new bathrooms in our newly acquired side room, as well as a dining room with seven additional tables. In addition to that, our patio has doubled in size and it boasts a new awning that covers the elements a lot better than before. If you haven't seen our place in awhile, please come check it out. You will also notice the improvements we have made to our old tables and walls.
This room can accomodate 30 people comfortably and can be reserved on certain nights for special occasions. Please call ahead several days to a week or more for larger parties, 404-892-3648 and speak to a manager.
George's caters to families because kids are as comfortable being here as adults. The touch-screen games located in the bar area are kid-friendly and played most often by adults.
With seven televisions located throughout the restaurant, George's offers a wide variety of entertainment, from sports to movies. The several new large LCD TV's offer a great view from all seats in the house. If you're looking for a neighborhood spot to watch a big sporting event, this is the place to be.
Come join us each and every Tuesday night at eight o'clock for team trivia, hosted by Keith Dyche. Since March 30, 2004, trivia has taken off and become a weekly event for many teams. As a long time trivia connoisseur, Keith formulates his own theme-based questions in a six round, three question per round format, with a half-time and final question worth extra points. But he won't tell you the theme. You have to figure that out by what the questions and/or answers might have in common (e.g. Presidents, or capital cities).
Prizes for top three finishers:
1st Place: $50 house cash
2nd Place: $30 house cash
3rd Place: $20 house cash
There is a 10 person per team limit, but keep in mind that we have a limited number of large tables inside. The rest of them are 4-tops, so it would be wise to get there early to grab a table. No reservations taken.
Running Club Wednesdays
Looking for some exercise, followed by a cold beer and great food. Join us on Wednesday nights for what we call "runner's night." Stop by any time and talk to one of the runners about becoming a member of the "Hashers" or just being part of the running crowd on Wednesday nights.
Looking to celebrate a birthday or have a private meeting. We do allow reservations for our new dining room with a week's notice from you, or possibly for upstairs seating. (not available on Tuesday nights). Maximum comfortable occupancy is 30 people in the new sectiona and 20 people upstairs. Please don't ask to reserve the entire upstairs area unless your party is 15 or more. For those unfamiliar with this event, it was all because of a wonderful family we have gotten to know at George's and their little girl named Aleena Miller, who is battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
*George's would like to show our appreciation towards Keith Dyche for seven awesome years (3/30/04) behind the mike on trivia night. We look forward to many more years!
**Thank you to all of our neighbor restaurants and retail stores, as well as all of our friends and family who took part in "Dine Out Night For Hope and Light" on Monday August 9, 2010! A portion of all of our sales went towards the research of Spinal Muscular Atrophy
